Mr. Paresh Haribhakti

MD, TCR Advanced

Mr. Paresh Haribhakti has over two decades of experience in the field of metallography and microstructure examination and has solved more than 3000 industrial problems. He is pioneer in promoting in situ-metallography.

Has intensive work experience to his credentials, solved materials engineering problems and performed failure analysis on components from petrochemical plants, oil and gas transmission pipelines, offshore structures, ships, pharmaceutical plants, food processing equipment, gas turbine engine components, and weldments.

Served as a principal team member in conducting the study on high temperature electrochemistry of stainless steel for thermo nuclear reactors, a project led by France along with 8 countries consortium. His command and grasp of complex engineering theory, turns into easy to understand and useable concepts to technical audience, with simple analogies, every day examples, and laymen terms to explain data and findings to clients, corporate executives, government officials or attorneys

He has specific experience in welding, heat treating and materials technology for oil & gas drilling and production applications, including production tubing, casing and down hole motor failures.

He is skilled in the use and application of scanning electron microscopy (SEM) in support of failure analysis and fracture identification

His research oriented creativeness, spearheaded the development of a powerful image analysis software - Microstructure Characterizer Software (MiC). He has also developed a well-respected Chemical Composition Mapping method for identification of Dilution in Weld Zone

He is the recipient of Gold Plaque from IIM. He is a Founder member of Metallography Society of India. He is member of the Institute of Engineers, Institute of Foundry Man, Indian Institute of Metals and Indian Institute of Welding.

He is B.E. (Metallurgy) and M.E. (Materials Technology) from M.S. University, Vadodara.

Mr. M. N. Patel has 35 years of teaching experience in UG and PG level in various subjects like Plastic Deformation of Metals, Mechanical Metallurgy, NDT and Failure Analysis, Mechanical behaviour of materials, Selection of Materials and Failure Analysis, Physical Metallurgy and Welding Metallurgy.

He has Published 16 research papers in various national journals in the field of weld ability of steels, corrosion of steels, sensitization of stainless steels and failure analysis.

He is B.E. (Metallurgy) & M.E. (Metallurgy) from M.S. University, Vadodara.

He is the Life Member of Indian Institute of Metals, Indian Institute of Welding & Indian Society for Technical Education.

He is doing Consultancy work related to material characterization including properties correlation with microstructures, Failure investigation of various components, Welded structures, Defect analysis By SEM and EDS System.

Mr. Ketan Upadhyay

Mr. Ketan Upadhyay has experience of 25years in the field of NDE, Acoustic emission techniques, Vibration measurement and signature analysis,Failure Investigations, microstructure interpretation, Scanning electron microscopy and digital imaging system

He is a qualified level II for Acoustic Emission testing (IISC Bangalore), Vibration Analyst VT-II (Entec IRD) and Ultrasonic Flaw Detection (EEC Mumbai) techniques

He is actively involved in Plant Reliability Engineering and risk based inspection projects for different components such as heater piping, reactors and static equipment of petrochemical and refinery industries. He is well familiar with API/ASME/ASTM/JIS codes and ASM literature. He has rich experience on replication metallography and microstructural examinations

Prof. A. K. Singh

Prof. A. K. Singh is a Fellow of Institution of Engineers (India), Fellow of Society of Power Engineers (India), Member of Indian Institute of Welding, Member of Indian Society for Non- Destructive Testing, Member of Indian Institute of Metals

He was the Vice Chairman of Society of Power Engineers (India), Vadodara and Chairman of the Baroda Chapter of Indian Society for Non-Destructive Testing

He was awarded with Engineering Excellence and Achievements Award & International Business Excellence Award

He has published more than five dozen technical papers to journals, conferences and seminars in the field of RLA, R&M, Condition Assessment / Monitoring of Power Plant Equipment and Energy Management

His field of expertise includes Turbo-Machines, Fluid Mechanics & Fluid Power, RLA & LE, Condition Monitoring, Quality Management, Energy Management.

Dr. S. R. Singh

Dr. S. R. Singh has done his Ph.D., from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi in 1980. He has more than 43 years of Research & Development experience in the area of phase transformation, electron microscopy, deformation behaviour, alloy development, nanocrystalline functional materials and failure analysis & remaining life assessment / life extension of engineering components. He served CSIR-National Metallurgical Laboratory, Jamshedpur during 1981-2011, in various capacities from Scientist B to Scientist G & Head of Materials Science & Technology Division. After superannuation, he worked at CSIR-NML as Technical & Business Development Consultant during 2011-2013. Since 2013, he is Vising Professor at School of Materials Science & Technology, IIT (BHU), Varanasi. He has also worked as a Post-doctoral fellow at Northwestern University, Evanston, USA; Visiting Scientist in Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, USA; and Consultant at University of Virginia, Charllotesville, USA. He is also associated with the professional bodies as life member of Materials Research Society of India, and Electron Microscope Society of India as well as member of Indian Institute of Metals. He has been an expert member of about 16 national & international committees / study team constituted by various organisations. He has also been actively engaged in development of advanced & functional material, i.e., shape memory alloy, damping alloy, nano-materials, various types of steels, irradiation resistant material by nano-coating, titanium aluminides, high temperature oxidation resistant coating and rejuvenation technology for hot gas path components of gas turbines & aeroengines. He has lead number of mission mode projects of national importance in these areas. He has published 65 research papers in international journals and one book entitled "Failure Analysis". He also holds two patents and more than 130 confidential investigation reports of failure analysis of engineering components.

Mr. Vishal Soni

His area of speciality is Spectro & corrosion testing

He is well familiar with ASME/ASTM/DIN/IS codes

He was the key person for metallurgical testing in UC Benchmarking Project of L & T.

Mr. Hemant Pradhan

Mr. Hemant Pradhan is a Mechanical Engineer with over 34 years of experience in design, detail engineering services, projects, inspection, mechanical construction, procurement, estimation etc. for fertilizer and petrochemical plants and projects.

His major experience field has been design, detailed engineering, trouble shooting of fertilizer plants like ammonia, urea, DAP, ASP, AS, phosphoric acid, sulphuric acid etc.; petrochemical plants like Caprolactam, Melamine, Nylon-6, and utility/co-generation/ boiler, water treatment plants. He is also involved in engineering jobs for installing new projects, de-bottlenecking, capacity augmentation, plant modifications, addition of new sections; trouble shooting; estimation; procurement; inspection; expediting for more than 30 years.

He has participated in design conferences at international and national level with process licensors/ detail engineering firms like M/s Enco, Switzerland; M/s INCRO SA, Spain; Tunisian Joint Venture, Tunisia; M/s Schmidt & Clemens, Germany M/s Davy Powergas, M/s Uhde, M/s Linde, at India.

He has vast experience in executing trouble shooting jobs in major plant equipment like Primary Reformer, Air Pre-heaters, Waste Heat Boilers, Various Heat Exchangers, Isothermal Shift Reactor, Urea Reactor, High Pressure Decomposer, high pressure plunger pumps & their discharge piping, Contact Furnace, Decomposer, Sulphur combustion furnace boiler, etc…

Mr. Pradhan has headed various departments like Inspection, Mechanical Construction, Workshop and Phosphoric Acid and Fiber Unit plants. He also has experience in dealing with statutory authorities and third-party inspection agencies.

Mr. Gopul Patel

GM, TCR Advanced

Mr. Gopul Patel is a post graduate from Sardar Patel University. He has an extensive knowledge of vacuum Technology and has worked as scientific officer at Department of science and technology sponsored research centre. He has hands on experience of operation and calibration of various sophisticated analytical instruments such as Transmission Electron Microscope, Scanning Electron Microscope with EDS, X Ray Diffraction, ICP OES, spectrometers, Thermal Analyzers such as DSC, TGA. He has experience of various advanced methods of material characterization and has worked extensively in the field of microscopy.

He has been trained for operation of Electron microscope at PHILLIPS, The Netherlands and Pemtron, Korea. In fact he has handled India’s First Environmental Scanning Electron Microscope with EDAX analyser for more than five years. He has been handling the scanning electron microscopy analysis work He is qualified as NDT level II in M.T., P.T., U.T. and E.T. He is responsible for the establishing & implementing management system at TCR Advanced and its functionality. He is actively involved in establishing new testing facilities at lab as well as on site. He has played an instrumental role in establishing custom designed web based sample management system for handling sample flow in the laboratory

Mr. Sandeep Singh

NDT Manager Level III, TCR Advanced

Mr. Sandeep Singh is qualified as NDT Level III in in M.T., P.T., U.T., R.T. and E.T.

Fully Conversant with various codes such as ASME (Sec V, Sec VIII, Sec IX, ASME B31.1, B313.3, code case 2235), API 653, structural BS codes etc.

Having more than 5 Years of experience in NDT and Quality Control at various Power projects, Petrochemicals, Refineries, Structural and Automobile Industries

Mr. Narendra Pandey (B.E., PGDBA)

A doyen on inspection in refineries, Mr. Narendra Pandey has demonstrated his acumen by solving out the most complicated problems on several occasions in his career. Of course, with his in-depth knowledge in this field, a proven track record, hands on practical approach combining with his vast experience, is ever admired by the inspection fraternity. His initiative and articulate leadership has always resulted in customer delight. He has given a new dimension in inspection strategy in projects as well.

His panoramic views and insight for various inspection activities has been recognised by national/international bodies like NACE, ISNT etc. A group leader in implementing RBI (Risk Based Inspection) in refineries with a modified strategy so as to get the best without disturbing the existing system. Shri. Pandey headed the inspection department from 1997 onwards in various grades. Worked in 3 refineries of Indian Oil and a full-time advisor to BORL also. His way of handling failures with positive recommendations is par excellence.

This visionary personality is a boon to the Oil Industry.

Mr. Jagdish Baad

Mr. Jagdish Baad is Bachelor of Technology in Metallurgical Engineering with First Class honors from IIT,Mumbai. He is having experience of 25 years in forge shop, steel, cast iron, S.G. Iron and Non-ferrous foundries. He has worked reached to Sr. Management position starting from the Engineer level. He has handled Turn key projects related to Foundry Mechanization, Quality Assurance and Product management of critical castings for turbine, material handling and wear resistance applications. Some of them are first of its kind. For last 12 years running an independent consultancy, related to TQM-Product Management of Castings & Forgings and metallurgical related turnkey projects. Well versed in kaizen, Edward Debono /Osborn techniques in creativity management. Energy audits related to metallurgical processes. He is Life member of various institutions such as Institute of Indian Foundrymen, Indian Institute of Metals, Indian Society of Non-destructive Testing, Indian Institute of Welding Metallography Society of India, Alumni Association of IIT Mumbai.

Dr. Mukesh Pandya

Dr. Mukesh Pandya is Ex-DGM (Research) from Gujarat State Fertilizer Company (GSFC) Limited, India’s premier fertilizer company. He is having a Ph.D in corrosion from Gujarat University. He has more than 25 years of experience in corrosion evaluation, materials selection, failure investigation and online corrosion monitoring in chemical, petrochemical and fertilizer industries. He possesses in-depth knowledge on various forms of corrosion. His is having vast experience in conducting laboratory and field experiments on corrosion measurements as per national and international standards. He has been a member of National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) USA, for 8 years. He has provided consultancy services to many industries in India and also successfully carried out international collaborative projects with M/s Avesta, Sweden, M/s Krupp VDM Germany and M/s Cormon UK.

Dr. P. B. Joshi

Dr. P. B. Joshi is a ex-professor in Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Faculty of Technology and Engineering, Maharaja Sayajirao University, Vadodara. He is a Ph. D. in Material

Engineering. Dr Joshi is having more than 25 years of teaching experience in the field of metallurgy. He has more than 50 research publications in International journals & National journals, and authored a book titled “Materials for Electrical and Electronic Contacts”.

Shri B. K. Shah

Shri B. K. Shah has done B.Sc. Engg. (Metallurgy) from Regional Institute of Technology (RIT), Jamshedpur (First Class with Distinction- 1st Rank) and M.Tech. (Corrosion Sc. & Engg.) from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay ( CPI 10.0- 1st Rank). He joined BARC in 1973(17th batch of BARC Training School). He has been Outstanding Scientist of the Department of Atomic Energy. He retired as Head, Quality Assurance Division, BARC on 31st December 2011. Presently, he is Raja Ramanna Fellow at BARC, Mumbai.

Mr. Kamlesh Rana

Mr. Kamlesh Rana is a having vast experience of fabrication and forging fields. He is Diploma in Mechanical engineering and has worked extensively in pipe manufacturing and forging industries. He has more than 20 years of experience. He has headed quality and assurance department of various forgeshops. He is qualified internal auditor for ISO 9001 and has handled API audits. Mr. Rana is incharge of chemical and mechanical testing at TCR.

Mr. Pradip Trivedi

Mr. Pradip Trivedi a BE (Electrical) with specialization in switchgear and protection in 1974 from Gujarat University, Ahmadabad, rank holder, going on to further study Cost Accountancy (1976) and Business Management (2005) for which he achieved an ‘Outstanding Performance’ result. His career path has been wide including Electrical Engineer with the Indian Navy & Scindia Steam Navigation.

30 years of Experience in ABB within the switchgear industry and in education – specifically as FOUNDER, CREATOR, MENTOR & HEAD VICE PRESIDENT of Training and Customer Support – led to his FIRST creation of a training centre for Power Technologies, India. 1990 – 2008

He has worked for Areva/Alstom /GE since 2009 -2017 again focussing on the creation of training centres at Chennai Padappai and also at Vadodara.
